I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 1993. I began my career at Campus Barber and Beauty Salon in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on the UofM campus. This location provided a balance of convention and edge. It was a unique arena that allowed me to develop my own philosophies pertaining to the client and their individual sense of style.
My family and I moved to the Seattle area in 1997. I worked for 2 years in a small town salon. After that I ran a small business called "In Home Hair". In the winter of 2005 I decided it was time for a more challenging and interesting career path. I attended the dread and extension class at Hairpolice in Minneapolis. It was everything I was looking for as far as expanding my knowledge. I had always felt very deft with shapes and movement; these new techniques took me to the next level. I cut, I color, I foil... I fade, and razor and style...... I make hair longer, curlier, thicker, "dreadier"......... Pick a look. Try something new or go back to an old favorite: Classic, edgy... and even conservative. I’m currently working at a witty salon in Seattle where I provide my clients, and would be clients alike, an honest but tactful opinion, an empathetic ear, a fair price (and price quote) as well as a good idea about what a chosen style will take to maintain. Look through my online portfolio and email me to learn how to set up a free consult or book an appointment. Jonquil... |
